Public Order Training
Based on the United Kingdom’s Home Office Public Order provision, COVIC Training Solution’s Public Order & Anti-Riot training is offered exclusively to Law Enforcement and Military agencies. Catering for all levels of Public Order, our training ensures Officers are prepared for and confident in managing and resolving any incident involving public order.
All of our Public Order trainers are ex-police, ex-prison service or ex-military and have served with their respective public order/anti-riot provisions, and have been actively deployed in live incidents. This allows our instructors to pass on their invaluable first-hand experience to learners and better explain why certain strategies and tactics are employed, rather than just practicing what is stated in the manual.
Level 3 and 2 Public Order
Based on the UK Home Office Public Order manual, our Level 3 Public Order training allows Officers to practice working as a member of a Serial Unit, practice low level strategies for basic crowd management and public safety at spontaneous or pre-planned events such as demonstrations, sporting events or carnivals.
Level 2 Public Order, more commonly known as ‘Anti-Riot’ training examines the tactics and strategies required to manage and resolve spontaneous or pre-planned high-risk incidents such as demonstrations where violence is present, rapid entry into a premises to execute a warrant or cell relocations of dangerous prisoners.
Level 1 Public Order
Our Advanced Level 1 Public Order training draws on the additional support measures required in high threat public order scenarios, and how these additional resources integrate with the Level 2 deployed Serial Units. Resources include but are not limited to firearms, vehicles, mounted officers and canine units.
Train the Trainer
Understandably, local forces may wish to carry out exercises and training without having to use teams from COVIC Training Solutions. To aid with this we can provide Train-the-Trainer training in public order to local teams, covering levels 1, 2 & 3.
Incident Commanders Course
Having officers trained in Public Order is just one cog in a much larger machine. This course examines the Gold, Silver and Bronze Command structures and how they work together to share information and intelligence, develop and deploy tactics in a dynamic incident, all while ultimately ensuring the maximum level of safety for the general public.
Rapid Response Tactical Advisors
While we do offer Tactical Advisor training, we also offer the service ourselves. Should there be a requirement, we are happy to send Tactical Advisors (Tac Advisors) anywhere in the world on exceptionally short notice to help Gold and Silver Command with ongoing advice and guidance until the incident is fully resolved. Flights depending, our Tac Advisors can be ready to deploy within 48 hours, if not sooner.
Bronze Command Assistance
In addition to providing Tac Advisors at Gold and Silver Command levels, we can also deploy experienced public order and anti-riot personnel to assist at the Bronze Command level. By embedding one of our operatives to a front-line Serial Unit, the Unit Commander will have expert tactical advice, guidance and support until the incident is fully resolved.
